Rockies sport management

Colorado State University’s Online Master of Sport Management program has been ranked fourth in the country by Sports Degrees Online in its Best Online Master’s Sport Management Programs for 2024-25.

Alongside programs from Georgetown University, the University of Florida and University of Indianapolis, CSU’s Online Master of Sport Management was highlighted for its unique course offerings, 12-month graduation option and partnership with the Colorado Rockies through the Sport Management Institute, which offers students access to real-world opportunities.

Since 2022, the partnership has allowed students to learn directly from industry professionals within the Rockies organization and opportunities for paid and credited positions on the Colorado Rockies’ in-game entertainment, promotions and event operations, group ticketing, in-game media (RockiesVision), ticketing operations and event services.

Sports Degrees Online uses a rigorous matrix to create the rankings, which is also powered by leading sport industry professionals and academics.

“It is an honor for Colorado State’s Sport Management graduate program to be included amongst the best sport management programs in the nation. The CRSMI works closely with CSU Online to be a leader in the online education space,” said Andrew Goldsmith, director of the program housed in the College of Liberal Arts. “Being housed in the College of Liberal Arts allows the Sport Management Institute to offer unique course offerings designed to not only build upon a student’s critical thinking and overall sport industry knowledge base, but also helps guide them in setting their foundation as future sport leaders, managers and coaches.”
