Environmental Justice Working Group hosting open house event April 2

Environmental Justice Working Group is hosting an open house on April 2 at noon in the LSC Room 378

The Environmental Justice Working Group, a committee of researchers within the School of Global Environmental Sustainability, is hosting an open house on April 2 to share their vision of becoming the CSU Center for Environmental Justice.

The interdisciplinary working group has been supported by SoGES since 2014, and together the researchers have built a strong environmental justice community on campus and across Northern Colorado. The main goal of the Environmental Justice Working Group is to create space for engaged interdisciplinary scholarship, training, and teaching, and community-building around issues of environmental injustice.

The Environmental Justice Working Group is co-led by engineering Professor Neil Grigg, natural resources Professor Melinda Laituru, political science Professor Dimitris Stevis, and sociology faculty Stephanie Malin, Josh Sbicca, and Stacia Ryder.

Because of the working group’s involvement with faculty across all academic colleges at CSU, all departments and interested parties are invited to the open house.
